Bringing authentic stories, voices & talent to life

A Strait Gait Production is a new vision for cinema & television - bold, international, and culturally fluent.

At the heart of our studio is collaboration: between emerging voices and established talent, between the UK and vibrant creative industries abroad - beginning with Nigeria’s Carbon Film and City Studio.

A Strait Gait develops original content with urgency and relevance - from Stand Out, our debut feature about identity and reinvention, to Dino Skool, a bold new animated series.

We uncover stories that demand attention and nurture the next generation of talent to tell them - not as a management company, but as a creative engine.

Our mission is simple: tell the stories that need to be told, and back the talent that can tell them.

Multicultural, genre-defining, and creatively fearless.

Strait Gait is defined by a distinctive storytelling approach that fuses movement, music, and psychology. We draw on the Character Analysis methodology of Yat Malmgren, influenced by Laban’s movement theory and Jungian character archetypes — a process embraced by artists such as Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Our mission is to bring authentic, visually arresting stories to life - and connect them with the widest possible audience through respected platforms and strategic partnerships.

SENSE ACTING SESSION

- ACTING REIMAGINED. STORIES REDEFINED.

Sense Acting Session, founded over a decade agoby Obiekwe, is a school dedicated to discovering and developing the next generation of storytellers.

Rooted in the belief that great acting begins with sensation, the method blends movement, breath, and instinct to unlock truthful, embodied performance. Influenced by Stanislavski, Meisner, and Batson, it trains actors to connect to character through raw, sensory experience.

This approach is the foundation of A Strait Gait Productions - where talent is nurtured to create stories that demand to be told, and where cinema becomes a space for cultural truth, emotional power, and creative possibility.
